FORT NELSON, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Fort Nelson.
A low-pressure system will move across northern B.C. and could bring with it 15 cm of snow to areas north of Fort Nelson.
The system will move into the area Saturday night and remain until Sunday. Areas south of Fort Nelson will only receive up to 5 cm of snow.

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.
An intense low-pressure system moving across northern B.C. will bring 10 to 15 cm of snow to northern sections of Fort Nelson region tonight and on Sunday. Areas south of Fort Nelson will only receive up to 5 cm of snow. Blustery northwesterly winds are also expected to give reduced visibilities at times in blowing snow.
Heavy snow is expected to change to periods of light snow Sunday morning. As the low pressure system exits the region, snow will end Sunday evening.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
