VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added 78 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, raising the active case count to 357.

There are 37 people in hospital, 12 of whom are in Intensive Care.

The region had no COVID-19 related deaths Friday, keeping the total at 120.

There have been 5,777 confirmed cases and 5,287 of those have since recovered in the Northern Health Region.

COVID-19 vaccination clinics administered 1,928 doses on Friday, bringing the total number of doses given in the Northern Health Region to 33,901.

There were 2,340 vaccine doses distributed to Northern Health last week.

The province added 908 new cases Friday, raising the active case count to 6,245.

There are 294 people in hospital, 81 of whom are in Intensive Care.

There were three COVID-19 deaths recorded Friday in British Columbia, bringing the total to 1,449.

Since last spring, there have been 95,677 confirmed cases and 87,866 of those have since recovered.

There were 27,185 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered Friday across the province, bringing the total number of shots given to 637,856.

Last week, 60,840 vaccine doses were distributed across British Columbia.
