DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health Medical Health Officers declared an end to the COVID-19 outbreak at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital’s Medical Inpatient Unit Friday.

Since the outbreak was declared on February 7th, there were nine cases in patients and five cases in staff. One of the patients died in association with the outbreak. Since February 12th, there have been no new lab-confirmed cases related to the outbreak.

Northern Health issued thanks to patients and their families for their understanding, and hospital staff for providing excellent care during the outbreak.

Northern Health is continuing to monitor and follow up all lab-confirmed cases among staff and patients at all Northern Health facilities.
