DAWSON CREEK, B.C – The Peace River Regional District and Saulteau First Nations are expected to enter a new Memorandum of Understanding for the next three-years.

The MOU, which will be presented to the PRRD Thursday, outlines guiding principles on how the parties will work together to improve communication and cooperation for the next three years.

Signing the document will require a meeting between the First Nations Chief and the PRRD board. During the meeting, the parties will solidify each party’s roles, responsibilities, and obligations, understand the impacts that may result from each others’ activities, provide an open forum on local matters, and exchange information.
