CHETWYND, B.C. – The Chetwynd International Chainsaw Carving Championship Society has announced that they will be cancelling the competition again this year.
Due to uncertain timelines and unknown answers regarding travel, economics, environment, and special restrictions have made the planning of the competition difficult.
In a release posted to Facebook, President Chris Larsen says, “Our goal as a board will be to take the current situation as an opportunity to bring an amazing competition to the 2022 year”.
The board will be working to return any refunds as requested and say the option to hold over fees and sponsorships from 2021 to 2022 can also take place.
The date of the 2022 competition has also been released and will take place from June 8th to 12th, 2022.
