Update#2: As of 6:34 p.m. on Jan .28th, the Commission says an inspector is onsite and has confirmed the line has been depressured. Further fire suppression is expected overnight, but there is no risk to the public. Repair of the line is expected on Friday.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C – The BC Oil and Gas Commission is currently monitoring a suspected natural gas pipeline leak and fire 16 kilometres east of Dawson Creek.
An emergency pipeline shutdown has been activated, and the line is being depressurized, said the Commission in a post on social media.
According to the organization, public protection measures have been implemented, and its staff has been dispatched to monitor the incident.
