VICTORIA, B.C. – Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, has released information regarding a new Provincial Health Order that worksites and projects will now have a baseline of workers starting January 2021.

Dix made a tweet last week regarding the number of workers being onsite and has now released the information regarding the new Provincial Health Order, tweeting that the new order will help reduce COVID-19 outbreaks, clusters, and the spread through neighbouring communities.

According to the order, five industrial projects will now have a set baseline of workers onsite. These projects are Coastal GasLink, LNG Canada, the Site C Project, Trans Mountain Pipeline and Rio Tinto Kemano. Starting in January 2021, these work sites will have baseline workers and increments that must be followed to allow more workers onsite.
