FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the B.C. Peace River.
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected.
According to Environment Canada, a frontal system moving across the province will spread strong winds to the Peace today. Winds are expected to rise to southwest 70 km/h, sometimes gusting to 90 late this morning.
Winds should ease down by this evening.
Damage to buildings, like roof shingles and windows, may occur as high winds may toss around any loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Keep up to date on weather alerts on the Environment Canada website, and be sure to drive for the conditions.
