FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Canadian Grind announced last week that they were making Poppy Donuts to help raise funds for the Fort St. John Legion Remembrance Day Poppy Campaign, selling the donuts Monday and Tuesday.

By Monday afternoon, November 9, they had sold almost 70 dozen donuts, and by 1:30 pm on Tuesday, they were sold-out and had sold over 200 dozen donuts.

Along with selling the donuts, The Canadian Grind had a donation box at the counter for people to donate that way as well. According to Manager Lynette Cordonier, the donuts exceeded expectations, and she looks forward to doing it again in the future.

In total, the donuts and the donation box raised just over $5,000 for the Fort St. John Legion Poppy Campaign.
