CHETWYND, B.C. – Tansi Friendship Centre Society has issued a notice saying one of their employees has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the Tansi Friendship Centre Society says, as a precaution, they will be closing both the Tansi Friendship Centre and the Kici-Awasimsak Family Development Centre the week of November 16 to the 20.

According to the Society, during this time, there will be no programs running, and the food bank and community lunch will be halted for this week only. Services are expected to resume on Monday, November 23.

The Society is currently working with Northern Health for contact tracing, and at this time, only staff members have been asked to isolate. Clients, customers, and community members should not be concerned unless contacted by Northern Health.
