HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. – The District of Hudson’s Hope teamed up with the Hudson’s Hope RCMP to deliver meals to seven local Veterans.
The District of Hudson’s Hope usually hosts an annual Veterans Dinner; however, the event had to be canceled due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the District’s Recreation and Special Events Coordinator, Kristina Coombs, and Cpl. Rob Gardner of the Hudsons Hope RCMP teamed up to deliver the meals.
The meals were catered by Pinch Curb Side Takeout and Cantina owner Brandi Moritz and included the main course, salad, mini loaves of bread, a bottle of wine, and glasses. The meals were placed inside poppy adorned baskets.

Cpl. Rob Gardner, Hudson’s Hope RCMP Detachment Commander, says, “As the Remembrance Day ceremony was closed to the public this year, it was so special to have the chance to get out and safely thank our veterans. Our local Veterans include senior citizens who served years ago, but also include previous members of the Armed Forces that served in a much more present time, including one of our own local police officers.”
