FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – NAV Canada has sent a letter to City Council, announcing the launch of an Aeronautical Study which is set to take place at the North Peace Airport in Fort St. John.

According to the letter, NAV Canada says the study is one of many taking place across the country that will determine the Air Traffic Service and aviation weather requirements at the Fort St. John Airport.

The study will also be looking at NAV Canada’s level of service and to address any safety issues at the airport.

Before the study begins, Council is being offered a virtual briefing to get an understanding of what the study will look like and the information that is to be collected during the study.

NAV Canada is a non-government funded company that owns and operates Canada’s civil air navigation service and provides services to commercial and general aviation from facilities throughout Canada.
