HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. – A 126-pound pumpkin donated by Legacy Village Market in Hudson’s Hope was a show-stopper at the COVID friendly Frightful Frolics Halloween event on October 30th.
The pumpkin, which was carved into an RCMP theme including an intricate horse design as the focal point, was carved by Hudson’s Hope RCMP Public Servant Employee, Linda Cantlon.
The pumpkin was voted as best carved at the District of Hudson’s Hope event.
Hudson’s Hope Detachment Commander, Cpl Rob Gardner, says, “The offer to use the pumpkin was given to the detachment, and the members were quick to decide they were not artistic enough to take on the task, so Linda stepped up and did an absolutely fantastic job.”
The Fightful Folics event was set up and ran by the District of Hudson’s Hope, The Hudson’s Hope RCMP, Hudson’s Hope Volunteer Fire Department, Senior Students from Hudson’s Hope Elementary and Secondary School, Double H Saddle Club and, a local union.
