CALGARY, A.B. – Coastal GasLink released a construction update on October 20th, highlighting the work being done on compressor and meter station facilities, as well as workers on the project.
At a glance, the pipeline’s overall progress is around 30 percent, with construction progress around 14 percent.
Coastal GasLink added 640 new workers, exceeding 3,000. These workers have helped with the construction of the natural gas pipeline and related facilities and in the environmental and engineering areas.

Last month, September, saw clearing being completed along the 93 km of section four, and now section six is 99 percent cleared. Along with the clearing, five of the eight sections have grading underway to prepare the mainline pipe installation.
With the successful pipe installation beneath the Kitimat River completed, Coastal GasLink will now cross several streams and rivers along the route.
