FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Last week, during a Zoom meeting, the Senior AA North Central Hockey League of Alberta made the decision to cancel the 2020-21 season.

The decision to cancel the season was made by its members through a vote of 8-1 and is based on the on-going safety concerns and restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic.

With this decision made by the NCHL, the North Peace Hockey League, which also plays games in Alberta, will have to make a decision regarding the season.

According to Fort St. John Senior Flyers President Paul van Nostrand, they will be having a conference call will NPHL reps to discuss the future of the season.

Information regarding any decisions is expected to be released in the coming days.
