School buses cancelled in Dawson Creek

UPDATE – Buses have also been cancelled in Chetwynd.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – School District 59 has cancelled school buses for Monday.

The extreme cold weather is causing the District to cancel buses in the South Peace except for in Chetwynd.  School District 60 also announced Sunday buses would be cancelled.

Schools will remain open.

An extreme cold warning remains in place for the entire B.C. Peace region.  The temperature is expected to drop to minus 33 with the windchill making it feel more like minus 43.
