Suspect in custody after Grande Prairie Crime Unit seize weapons, ammo and drugs from stolen vehicle
GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB. – An individual was arrested after the Grande Prairie Crime Reduction Unit conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of a hotel over the weekend.
During the investigation on February 4th at around 10:00 a.m., it was determined that the vehicle was stolen. Police also seized three firearms, ammunition and a small amount of methamphetamine.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jeremy Rozon of Grande Prairie has been charged with 10 Criminal Code Offences including four counts of possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000, three counts of unlawful possession of firearm in a vehicle and one count of each possession of a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and unlawful possession of ammunition in a vehicle.
Rozon has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on February 8th, 2018.
