Pomeroy Sport Centre ice installation means closure of some amenities and programs

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – If you like to use the walking track or play dry sports, you’ll be out of a luck while ice is installed at the Pomeroy Sports Centre.

Northern Vac Track will be closed from August 4 to 16 due to the fumes from equipment being used to install the ice. Regular hours will resume on August 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. until September 5.

Dry floor sports such as basketball, table tennis and badminton will be cancelled from August 1 to 31 and will resume September 1.

The City of Fort St. John says the ice at the Pomeroy will be ready by August 21. To check skate times, check the City of Fort St. John recreation guide.
