Skid steer stolen from job site near Site C dam
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Fort St John RCMP are investigating the theft of a yellow 277B Caterpillar skid steer about a month ago.
The skid steer was stolen from a construction site just north of the Site C Dam near Gate B on Old Fort Road. The theft took place some time between 6:00 p.m. on June 5th and 6:00 a.m. on June 6th.
Another construction site on Old Fort Road experienced similar issues that same evening, when it was reported that an unknown person or persons attempted to steal a skid steer from their site. In that case, the would-be thieves were unsuccessful, as the skid steer was broken and was unable to move.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to report it to the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
