12 year-old girl involved in Rotary Park incident succumbs to injuries
DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – This morning the Dawson Creek RCMP say that the 12 year-old girl involved in a drowning incident last Saturday has passed away.
A release that was posted on the detachment’s website confirmed that the girl succumbed to the injuries she sustained after she was unable to surface while swimming in the lake on August 13th. Police say that she passed away yesterday.
The investigation into what caused the incident is currently ongoing.
