UPDATE: Multiple fires reported in the region

UPDATE – According to the Peace River Regional District, there are 48 forest fires burning in the Peace River region.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A fire on the highway 29 has reportedly jumped the road by the Peace River lookout between Fort St. John and Hudson’s Hope.

This fire is burning as crews also fight to extinguish a blaze in Baldonnel, that has forced officials to evacuate several homes in the area.
