Grande Prairie robbery leaves victim with serious injuries
GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. — A 39-year-old man has been treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries after an early-morning robbery. He has since been released from hospital.
Around 3 a.m. on Monday morning, RCMP in Alberta’s Peace Country responded to a reported robbery in the Crooked Creek area.
A family had woken up to find two men they didn’t know in their home. The suspects were wearing masks and took an amount of cash before stealing the victim’s vehicle, which was later found in Valleyview, abandoned.
Police say residents should keep their doors locked — even when they are home — and call police if someone gains entry to the house without permission.
