Firefighters call for backup battling Peace Region fires
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The BC Wildfire Services says backup has been called in for fires in the Peace Region, as all the resources are being used to fight them right now.
Fire Information Officer Amanda Reynolds says 21 fires are burning in the Fort St. John Zone, and 16 in the Dawson Creek Zone.
She confirmed there is a 3,000 hectares in Fort St. John, and three others in peace region 150 – 350 hectares
“At this time, we haven’t been able to map all the fire sizes,” she said.
