District of Taylor to discuss Dog Control bylaw at meeting
TAYLOR, B.C. — The District of Taylor will be considering the first three readings of the ‘Dog Control, Licensing and Ticketing Bylaw‘ at their regular meeting tonight.
District council wants to make changes to the bylaw to regulate and introduce requirements in relation to pets
If read and approved, the changes to the existing bylaw would include adding a definition of dwelling unit that is consistent with the zoning bylaw — so that the number of dogs per household could be better defined.
The amendments would allow for four dogs per dwelling, call for dogs in heat to be walked on leash, and address how to deal with dangerous and aggressive dogs.
The District says they will also be considering changes to the ‘Municipal Ticket Information System Bylaw’ are also being considered.
