North Peace Museum hosts Heritage Day festivities
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — This Saturday, the North Peace Museum will be hosting Heritage Day.
The museum says this year’s theme for the Heritage Week is ‘Distinctive Destinations: Experience Historic Places.’ Heritage Week started on Feb. 15, 2016.
Guests will be able to explore historic places of the North Peace through a self-guided tour map of the area, and participate in a Historic Places scavenger hunt in the Museum. One version will be for young children, and one will have questions for young people and adults. There will be a prize to be won.
The museum will also screen a film on the Relocation of the British Columbia Provincial Police Barracks.
Admission is free, and the event runs from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
For more information, Heather Sjoblom with the Museum can be contacted at 250-787-0430.
