Big Brothers Big Sisters gets ready for big bowling charity event

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fort St. John are celebrating 32 years in the community with a fundraiser: The Bowl for Kids’ Sake event, held on Mar. 6, 2016.

Teams of four raise will pledge leading up to the event and go bowling for one hour between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Mar. 6. The teams that sign up can be corporate, or teams of family and friends.

Each person is asked to raise $50 in pledges, but there is not cost for bowling or renting shoes all day.

There are prizes to be won for the top fundraisers, in addition to hourly prizes for best costumes, creative bowling moves, and door prizes. And, all money raised stays in the community to benefit local kids!

The theme for this year’s event is Galactic Strike: Space and Science Fiction.
