SLAVE LAKE, A.B. – The N.E. B.C. and Yukon Trackers were hoping the end a brief skid in their schedule as they had one win in their past four outings prior to this past weekend’s games against the Big Lakes Thunder. It was mission accomplished for the Trackers as they came away with wins by scores of 5-4, and 6-1.

Saturday’s high scoring affair between the clubs had the Thunder find the back of the net first as they took the lead late in the period.

The Trackers responded with two goals to take a 2-1 lead in the second but the Thunder tied the game with 8:38 remaining. N.E. B.C. got a late period goal of their own as they took a 3-2 lead with 24 seconds left before the second intermission.

Both clubs traded two goals each in the third to wrap up the scoring in the game.

Scoring for the Trackers were Griffin Young, Geoffrey Dick (2), Kaine Comin, and Robert Young.

Sunday’s tilt was a lopsided one in favour of the Trackers. They got out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back. They’d explode for four in the second to lead 6-0 before a late goal by the Thunder closed out the period.
