Flyers with one more chance to clinch first in West Division
FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – With the Spirit River Rangers starting to close the gap to first place the Fort St. John Flyers will have one more chance to wrap up top spot in the North Peace Hockey League’s West Division. To add to the intrigue they’ll be in Spirit River tonight for their final regular season game prior to the start of the playoffs.
The Rangers are two points behind the Flyers with a game in hand. Despite the extra game however the Flyers own every possible tie breaker between the clubs making the contest a must win for the Rangers in their hopes to catch Fort St. John.
The team that finishes in first will receive a bye into the second round of the playoffs.
Faceoff in Spirit River is slated for 8:30.
