Large power outage in Chetwynd

Part of Chetwynd is without power after an outage started just after 7 a.m. Tuesday.

According to B.C. Hydro the power went out at 7:05 a.m. and 1,431 customers in the area are without power. The cause of the outage is still under investigation as crews are now on scene trying to determine the problem.

As of 8 a.m., there is no estimate on when power will be restored.
