CHETWYND, B.C. — The Chetwynd Echo, the ‘Biggest Little Paper in the Peace,’ has announced that it will be printing it’s last issue in the New Year.
A Facebook post on the newspaper’s page cites declining circulation, ad revenue, and subscriptions as the reason they’re shutting down their operations — as they are down to two staff members, from six working on the paper.
“The staff of the Chetwynd Echo would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the readers and advertisers who have given us their support over the years.”
The last issue of the paper will be on newsstands on Jan. 6, 2016, after more than half a century of print.
