FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Peace River North MLA, in a year end interview, says the goal remains to have a new health care model ready to be rolled out for Fort St. John and district residents early in the New Year.

A special committee including Pat Pimm and local doctors, as well as North Health and Ministry of Health officials has spent months working to develop a model, which will specifically address the health care concerns associated with the recent doctor’s shortage in the city.

In a similar interview Mayor Lori Ackerman also expressed satisfaction with the recent progress made in resolving the concerns, and also expressed optimism about what lies ahead in the months to come.

Both those interviews will be broadcast in greater detail, in a series of local area impact stories during the Yule Tide holiday period.

They will feature a number of political, industry and labor leaders, addressing a variety of local, provincial and federal issues, which they hope will be resolved in the coming year.
