Another attempted ATM robbery in Grande Prairie
GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. — Last Wednesday, Grande Prairie RCMP received a call reporting a break and enter at Money Mart on 97 Avenue.
The window at the front of the store was broken, and someone had attempted to take the ATM inside the building using a tow rope hitched to a vehicle.
The store endured extensive damaged in the process. It is unknown if a single suspect broke the window, or if a group of suspects were involved.
This incident is believed to be related to three similar incidents over the course of four days: one at Coca-Cola Centre on Monday, Dec. 7; another at Esso on Wednesday, Dec. 9; and the most recent one at Mac’s in Lakeland, on Thursday, Dec. 10.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact Grande Prairie RCMP.
