On Monday Grande Prairie RCMP requested assistance from Dawson Creek RCMP regarding a stolen vehicle that was suspected of being involved in a number of break and enters in Grande Prairie. When officers from Grande Prairie and Beaverlodge attempted to apprehend the suspect he was able to get away.

An officer eventually located the vehicle on a rural logging road with the driver asleep inside. Upon attempting to arrest the individual in the car he proceeded to ram to police car to escape. Back up officers set up containment of the area where the suspect again rammed their vehicles.

After being boxed in the suspect tried to escape on foot but was arrested a short distance away. Along with the arrest a number of items from the break and enters were later discovered.
