The Fort St. John Senior Flyers improved their record to 4-0 in the early stages of the North Peace Hockey League season on Saturday night. They were in Grimshaw to take on the Huskies, and after beating Spirit River in a shootout the night previous, the Flyers won again in a shootout 4-3.

Grimshaw held a 1-0 going into the second before a flurry of goals made up the middle frame. The Huskies took a 2-0 lead 51 seconds in, but the Flyers quickly got it back 19 seconds later. Grimshaw would go up 3-1, but two goals by Fort St. John late in the period in a span of 2:15 knotted the game up.

There was no scoring in the rest of the game which resulted in matters being settled in the shootout. Goalie Travis McLean turned aside all five Grimshaw skaters he faced, while potting the winner for the Flyers was Josh Bruha.
