Death of oil patch worker under investigation

The Provincial Corner’s Office has confirmed it’s working to the determine the cause of death of a 20 year old man at a north east B.C. oil patch work camp.
It says a 20 year old male, who was living in the Royal 109 camp at Wonowon, was reported deceased on October 26th.
Preliminary reports suggest he died in his room on the evening of the 25th and WorkSafeBC has confirmed it attended at the site but no orders were issued.
It adds after consulting with the Coroner’s Office and the RCMP WorkSafe has determined “It has no role in the matter.”
To date the RCMP has not responded to inquiries about the incident.
