Police believe the suspect in a fatal stabbing early Sunday morning is heading to BC’s Lower Mainland, or may be there now.

They are continuing to investigate the stabbing of four young men by a man they did not know at a downtown Sexsmith bar early on Sunday, October 25th.

The suspect, who fled the scene, has been identified as 28-year-old Jordan Joseph Wendland. He is from the Lower Mainland, but recently, he had been living in the Grande Prairie area.

Three of the victims sustained injuries of varying degrees and were treated at the hospital in Grande Prairie.

The fourth victim died as a result of his injuries. All the victims knew each other and were in their early to mid-twenties.

An autopsy conducted by the Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office yesterday determined the death to be a homicide.
