Midget Petroleum Flyers split weekend exhibition games

The Fort St. John midget Petroleum Flyers took part in two exhibition games over the weekend. They were on the road in Valleyview on Saturday, and at home on Sunday and managed to come away with a split. They fell 4-3 against Valleyview, but rebounded the next day with a 1-0 win over Dawson Creek.

In Saturday’s game the Flyers got out to a 2-1 lead following the first period. Valleyview tied the game in the second, and came away with the victory after a late goal in the third.

Scoring for the Flyers were Jesse McArthur, Daniel Forrest, and Cooper Willms.

Returning home to Fort St. John the Flyers battled Dawson Creek. The game was low scoring as the Flyers notched the only tally in the third period for the 1-0 victory.

Tim Rice got the goal with the assist going to Aiden Craig-Steele.
