With the start of the U17 World Hockey Challenge nearing, hockey fans can now circle a date on their calendars when tickets will be up for grabs. Tickets will be on sale to the public September 10, with the roll out date being the day prior which will have information on pricing, pool groupings, and the tournament schedule.
Event organizers will be in Fort St. John September 11 and 12 promoting and selling tickets for the tournament at Ernie’s Sports Experts, and at the Moose FM Block Party respectively.
Barry Reynard of the City of Dawson Creek said those planning on checking out games for the tournament will be pleased once they see what’s planned for the event in terms of the pricing and game schedule.
“I think that people are going to be quite excited once they see the pricing is very reasonable. They’re going to see the best players in the world, future NHL stars. We’re quite excited once we roll out the ticketing pricing, the schedule, and where those pools will be held.”
The tournament will begin on October 30.
