Roof collapses on Fort St. John Construction site

Work came to a halt on the construction of the new Browns Socialhouse in Fort St. John after the roof collapsed Wednesday.

The building is located at 98A Street and 100 Avenue and was being built by Hegge Construction Ltd., who are based out of Dawson Creek.

A representative from WorkSafe BC told Energeticcity.ca that no one was injured in the incident and that they had officers on site Wednesday to take a better look at the cause of the incident. The officers are currently in the process of completing an inspection report that will be made available within the next week.

Energeticcity.ca contacted Hegge Construction Ltd. for a comment but no one is available to speak about the incident at this time.
