The enhanced maintenance would last a full year and would be an extra step above the usual maintenance done by workers. The extra maintenance would be performed on a number of areas including snow removal and ice control on sidewalks, parking lanes, driving lanes, and alleys, solid waste collection, street sweeping and flushing, sidewalk inspection and repair, parking meters, traffic signs, street lights, and others.
As it pertains to snow and ice maintenance, work will be increased in the clearing of snow and ice, as well as the courtesy pass down for sidewalks will now include clearing snow from between parking meters. Snow in parking lanes will also be moved more often to facilitate the storage of snow from sidewalks.
During the summer sidewalks in the area will now be swept and flushed. This is a new service and the frequency will be determined by the grounds manager.
