Alaska Highway closed at Mile 80

According to the RCMP, this closure is a result of a collision involving a logging truck and a pickup truck. Injuries have been reported and emergency responders are just getting to the scene.  The closure is expected to last at least an hour and the highway will be opened as soon as it is safe  to do so.

Travellers have reported icy conditions on most roads in the Peace region.
