Hudson’s Hope officially under an Evacuation Order

The order covers the entire District of Hudson’s Hope

Residents under an evacuation order must immediately leave the area and proceed to an Emergency Social Services (ESS) Reception Centre to register.

Further instructions on temporary lodgings and food services will be provided at the reception centre.

Police and emergency officials are currently going to each dwelling and business in the evacuation zone to deliver this evacuation order. They will provide details about safe routes to the nearest reception centre.

An ESS Centre has been set up at the North Peace Arena located at 9805, 96^th Avenue, Fort St. John.

The district says the evacuation order has been issued to ensure the protection of human life while firefighters, police and emergency officials work to control the nearby wildfire.
