Two stuck snowmobilers rescued near Tumbler Ridge

When the men didn’t return home by 9 p.m., she says police were notified.

Smith says Search and Rescue officials from Tumbler Ridge, Fort St. John, and Prince George were called in, and with the help of a helicopter they found the men by Saturday afternoon. She says the men were in good health and were not injured.

Smith says the snowmobilers had gone over a ridge, became stuck in deep powder and couldn’t leave the area, even on foot, so they built a fire and kept warm until help arrived.
