Denny Morrison qualifies for 1,500 metre race at Sochi Olympics

The feat was especially impressive as Morrison needed to overcome the emotional let down of not qualifying for the 1,000 metre race. It appeared as though Morrison had a spot in the 1,000 metre race sealed up, but he clipped his skates on the final turn and fell, eliminating his chances to compete in the event.
