10-15 cm of snow expected in Peace River North & South

More snow is on the way.

The Arctic front is once again moving southward over the Peace. This deepening cold air will combine with moist air from the Pacific and rain will turn to snow overnight. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm can be expected especially in the upslope regions of the Rockies by Friday morning. Snow will taper off during the day on Friday. As well northerly winds will develop gusting at times to 50 km/h resulting in some reduced visiblities in blowing snow and cold wind chill down to minus 30.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
