Canfor fire started by malfunction in debarker machine
The fire department responded just before 11:45 a.m. and was on the scene for approximately an hour and a half extinguishing the blaze and dealing with the smoke.Â
B.C. Ambulance was also called to the mill to check workers that may have been exposed to smoke, but none were taken to hospital.Â
Canfor is now left to assess how much damage was done to the machine.
