Fort St. John tops October precipitation average in first week, again

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Last year the first seven days of the month resulted in 29.7 millimetres, including 28.2 on the first day.

However, it was the tenth of the month before we received the first measurable snowfall of the season of 4.4 centimetres.

This year it appears we’ll wait longer than that, as the current seven day forecast indicates we dodged another possibility of overnight flurries, and the only precipitation now predicted through Thanksgiving Day is a 60 per cent chance of showers tomorrow.
