The event is being held at On The Rocks Pub with cocktails getting the night started at 6:30. There will also be a live auction and silent auction on the night as well as live music, a reverse raffle draw and hot appetizers.

Jody Farquharson is with Enertek Energy Services. She provides some insight on his situation.

“He was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer last January, he’s 28 years old, he’s the father of five kids under the age of eight, born and raised in the area and has worked at a lot of the pipeline and oil companies as a welder,” she says. “Last year we had done this fundraiser, and at that time we were helping with the cost of living because Dan wasn’t able to work, and he was seeking out natural and homoeopathic therapies throughout that whole year.”

Farquharson adds that things are more dire for this year’s fundraising event.

“He is currently in Phoenix receiving specialized therapy, and of course that’s very expensive,” she says. “His whole treatment plan is twelve weeks and will cost anywhere from $90,000 to $125,000 for his treatment. It’s basically his last hope at this point.”

Tickets for the event on Saturday can be purchased at Enertek for $40, or they can be bought at the door at On The Rocks Pub for $50. The goal is to raise $100,000 to pay for the treatments.
