Local ice hosting Pre-Novice hockey tournament

Ten teams will be taking to the ice over the span of the two-day tournament, with local teams including Rhyason, Pat Preston, Twylight and Windsor Plywood.

Fort St. John teams will be taking on various teams from around the region, including Taylor, Clearview, the Dawson Creek White Lightning and the Dawson Creek Canucks, as well as Chetwynd.

Games will begin Saturday at 8:15 a.m., running until 3:30 p.m. then will start again Sunday at 8 a.m. with the final game hitting the ice at 11 a.m.

The weekend games are free to attend, and will include a variety of great raffle prizes to be won.

The tournament will begin with all four Fort St. John teams playing one after the other, taking on different visiting foes in the first four games of the tournament.
