Input sought on proposed coal mine north of Tumbler Ridge

Hillsborough Resources Ltd. wants to build a coal mine 44 kilometres north of Tumbler Ridge, that would produce 1 to 1.5 million tonnes of thermal coal a year, for an expected 10 to 14 years.

If the CEAA determines that a federal environmental assessment is needed, the public will have three more opportunities to comment.
